Deck 7 - Security Offices - Briefing Room
MD 01 - 12.15 hours
"Well, let's start" Mars said tot the team they had assembled in the briefing room. Turning to Luke she said "You're our lead investigator, tell me what you got so far". She couldn't be more happy with her assistant. She almost did a little dance at seeing his service record. He was specialized in the fields she was not, complementing her perfectly. She had worried about the fact that she was not just in charge of the tactical department, her specialty, but also the security department.
"Well, we don't have that much to start with. I've analyzed the data received from the flight chief as well as from the station. There have left quite a number of ships since the hours of her disappearance, but no obvious signs of her being on any one of them." Luke paused a second before continuing. Who would have thought that within a week of his arrival he would be in charge of the investigation into the second highest ranking person on this vessel. "I need access to the commander's personnel file, and I mean the whole file not just the public part, in order to compare that to any of the ships that have left. To determine if there is a connection with the commander's past."
"I'll see what I can do" Mars said.

OOC: Instead of writing this whole thing by myself I thought it might be nice to make it into a JP. The idea was that a team of security personnel has been assembled to run this investigations, with Luke leading the whole thing and Mars assisting/overseeing. Feel free to come up with a security NPC and use him/her for this. You can make up a full NPC or just a name and position. Position can be security Officer or security Enlisted. If you want to use a NPC on other occasions as well, let me know and we make him/her a regular.

The door to the briefing room opened and Tanner moved to stand in the doorway, glancing around at the 'fellows in yellow' as he did. "Knock knock." He said, letting himself in. He hadn't had the privilege of meeting the missing XO, and as far as things went, he didn't have a history of fondness for people in that position. Usually they were the iron fists underneath a captain's velvet glove. But since Chernova seemed to be a bit of a hardass, maybe the roles were reversed and Aekalu was the velvet glove here. And it might be a good idea to have an XO think that he was actually a stand-up guy. For once.
Spotting Mars, he wandered on over, giving her a slight nod. "Lieutenant. How goes the search? And is there anything I can do to help out?"

"I'd hardly call it expertise, but I'll do what I can." Tanner took out his personal PaDD and accessed the database he'd accumulated in corroboration with the Starbase's Ops team and had the computer run a heuristic algorithm to match all the signatures that had been recorded to the ships that had been around the Starbase at the same time as the XO's disappearance, then transmitted it to an unused wall panel of the security office. "That's pretty much everyone." Purple stuff, soda, Sunny D. "Bolian freighter, Gorn diplomatic cruiser, Ferengi transport, Vulcan shuttle, Tellarite shuttle, Cardassian shuttle."

Mars made sure the vessels he just mentioned appeared on the screen. "Ok, so now what?"
"I guess we need to elimate the vessels one by one until we get the vessel that took the XO." Luke said as he was looking at his PADD.
