USS Deimos

Main Bridge
Anahera walked on to the Bridge as the ship dropped out of warp. On the viewscreen was the mass of the gas giant know as Alpha Pelosiae 3 that almost filled the screen. Looking closely she thought could make out the remains of a spacecraft.

From Engineering as the Deimos pulled out of warp the ships systems were at standby. Parker had a view screen from Engineering to see what was happening from the Main Bridge perspective. They had arrived at the large planetary system and there seemed to be another ship nearby.

"Ma'am" Mars said from the Tactical station as the Captain entered the bridge. "We have a orion freighter. It's a drift. Severly damaged. One escape pod in the vicinity" she read from her display. "Scanning for life signs now." seconds later, after her console gave a new series of beeps she continued. "One very faint lifesign. Orion male."
From the Science II station Anne-Marie made the last preparation to the probe they were about to send into the gas giant's atmosphere. She had been working towards this point for weeks. She was assigned to the Deimos specially for this.
