Personal History: When Mars was ten years old she witnessed the death of her mother as a fight between her parents became fatal for her mother. She went to live in a children’s home from the church after that, a place she really hated and never really processed the loss of her mother and the witnessing of it.
When she turned 18 she enlisted with Starfleet and after a year of training served on the USS Aries as a tactical engineer. Then in 2385 following the rescue of a fellow crew mate, again her Chief’s order got her dishonor full discharged. Her Chief decided that the risk to save the other crewman was too big, something Mars disagreed with. Because she didn't have a place to go home to, she got onto a random transport and let faith bring her to a new destination.
She eventually found a job as a tactical engineer and security officer on the Quicksilver, a civilian freighter with a hidden agenda. During the year she served on it, she found herself in some very unusual circumstances. From talking trees to meeting ghost like creatures. After the ships mission ended two years later Mars found another temporary job as a cook on Seginus II, a colonist world.
In 2389 she was asked by the USS Rebellious to help them with the apprehension of a terrorist cell that took refuse on the planet. Afterwards they offered her a clean slate and the opportunity to serve on the Rebellious as a Tactical Officer. With the recommendation of the Rebellious Commanding Officer she entered OCS while serving on the Rebellious. Having worked as an enlisted for so many years she had some difficulties adapting to the officer way of working. Only a year later the Rebellious was decommissioned and its staff transferred to other vessels. Mars got transferred to the USS Deimos and received a promotion to Chief Tactical/Security as well.
